Frequently Asked Questions

Oakcliff is a very quiet park with only a few families arriving. The reception is on the left hand side as you pull into the park. It is not manned but the keys to your accommodation and a welcome guide will be left on the table inside.

Although Oakcliff is not a manned reception, our sister park is open with people able to assist you from 8am-7pm on 01626 863411. After 7pm Security are available on 07340 380620.

There is a 3Kw car charge point at Sainsbury’s (Dawlish) and for a faster 50Kw charge Morrisons (Teignmouth) is just down the road.

Check-in time is 11 am for touring and camping and 4 pm for all other accommodation, however, you are more than welcome to arrive beforehand and make use of the facilities on site.

If you arrive later than our reception opening times, please contract our security team on 07340 380620. Please be aware the last entry to the park is dusk or 9pm whichever is sooner.

We have two beaches; Dawlish and Dawlish Warren, both are in walking distance however, Dawlish Warren is the beach closest to the park via a short cut through our site, please note this may not be suitable for guests with mobility issues and small children due to the hill when returning to the park.

We have our very own convenience store located on site as well as a Sainsburys 5 to 10 minutes walk up the road.

  • Crealy Adventure Park is about a 25-min drive towards Exeter.
  • Paignton Zoo is 40 min drive.
  • Kents Cavern is about 20 mins away.
  • Haldon Forest is about 20 minutes away – Bike trails, Segway, walks and GoApe.
  • Newton Abbot and Exeter cinemas are 25 mins away.
  • Exeter and Torquay Ten-pin bowling is about 20 mins away.
  • Newton Abbot and Exeter Trampoline Parks are about 20 mins away.
  • Powderham Castle is about 15 minutes away.

As already plus…. Due to the current COVID situation these require booking through our activities page on this website.

Due to the current COVID situation we do not have changing facilities in the pool area. We request you come swim ready, you can use the touring shower block located next to the convenience store should you require some facilities. Lockers are not currently in use.

General swims are available to day visitors. Booking in advance is required through our website as a general swim Monday to Friday and Dip and Dine at weekends. Please note, this is not available during school holidays.

We have a cashpoint machine at the park but otherwise, the nearest is at Sainsbury’s.

We allocate one parking space, however, most of our pitches and accommodation can take two.

These vary throughout the year. Please click on opening times on our main menu at the top of the page.

The BBQ needs to have a stand and must be 50cm off the ground. BBQ’s cannot be used at all on Decking areas. We also do not allow fire pits or open fires fuelled by wood for safety reasons.

We have free public WiFi available in the Bar and Restaurant. We have WiFi available around the park. Further information regarding WiFi will be provided on check-in.

If you are staying for 1 to 2 nights a 10kw card will be supplied, 3 – 6 nights 50kw card, 7 nights or more 100kw card, if this runs our during your stay further electric can be purchased in reception. This is charged at £1.50 10kw, £7.50 for 50kw and £15 for 100kw,

Linen, duvet, pillows and towels are provided in all the Lodges, Mini Lodges, Ivy Caravans and Safari tents.  You may wish to bring extra towel to use in the hot tub.  All other accommodation has linen, duvets and pillows only.

Our pitches are unallocated which allows you to choose the pitch most suitable for you on arrival. These cannot be reserved if you are traveling in large groups. The pitches are on a first come first served basis.
